MILO are teaming up with JSA Sports Academy to help create a platform for young footballers to showcase their talents through this tournament.

MILO’s Sports Marketing Manager, Kerwin Lim believes the ‘MILO Challenger Cup’ will play a significant role in the development of Malaysian grassroots football in the country.

He said the objective of the tournament is to empower and energise the young football talents to strive for success in the early stages of their life’s as well as to inspire parents to encourage their children to be active in sports from young.

“MILO, together with our key sporting partners have always been playing a major role in the development of Malaysian sports. We are delighted to be collaborating with JSA Sports Academy in organizing the ‘MILO Challenger Cup’ this year.

“Our aim is to focus on junior and grassroots football while reaching out to children of all walks of life throughout the country through this competition.

“Parents have placed emphasis on their child’s academic success, but we feel that it is also important for our children to learn and experience the values that sports instill in them from a young age.

“Sport plays a big role in a child’s growth in life. It helps them develop their mental-physical strength and social skills which will last through the years – giving them a good foundation in life. At MILO, we believe that these values are not learned from text books but through experiences on the field,” Kerwin added.

Moving into its fourth year since its establishment, JSA Sports Academy’s Co-Owner, Steven Lim feels honoured to be creating a platform for young footballers to experience competitive football.

“This is a dream come true to be able to work with a brand that puts so much focus on the upbringing of sports in Malaysia. When one thinks of MILO, it will literally connect you to fun sport events.

“The green MILO truck is always a fond childhood memory for me and I’m excited that we can bring this childhood memory to the grassroots football players. The partnership with MILO inherits the spirit of an energy drink with grassroots football will be an exciting and meaningful event. “

“The Covid pandemic had brought a standstill to all kinds of sports activities and restricted the freedom of our children from football activities for almost 2 years. The “MILO Challenger Cup’ will represent a new life for them to be able to enjoy competitive football again. I am sure all the parents and kids will be looking forward to this major event,” Steven added.
