HRH Tunku Mahkota Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Regent of Johor, has kindly consented to attend the Konvoi Setia Johor 2019 programme at Dataran Tanjung Emas, Muar, Johor today, 14 December 2019.
The event, organised by the Empayar Jauhar Welfare Association, involved youths who rode motorcycles to the programme from all districts of Johor.
Every year the people of this southern state from all walks of life keenly await the Johor royal family’s attendance to this popular annual programme which was inspired by the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar. The event enjoyed its 22th edition which reflects on how the ‘Royal family meets the people’ and has always been the talk of the people in the state.
In giving the programme its due importance, HRH Tunku Mahkota Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Regent of Johor , described it as one of the best efforts in the way of establishing bilateral relations between the palace and the people.
“The programme directly reinforces the constitution of the Constitutional Monarchy which must be safeguarded and maintained at all costs,” he said.
The Konvoi Setia Johor programme was recognised by the Federal Government as one of the major tourism events for the Visit Malaysia Year 2014.
