PETALING JAYA: About half the population have received at least one vaccine dose, says the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV).
It said 50.1% of the people have received one dose and 29.8% are fully vaccinated as of yesterday.
In a tweet, the committee said 16,347,422 have received their first dose while 9,516,141 have received both doses.
In total, 25,863,563 vaccine doses have been administered since the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme began.
As of yesterday, Labuan had the highest rate of fully vaccinated individuals with 59.9% of its total population protected, followed by Sarawak (55.7%%), Klang Valley (42.4%), Negeri Sembilan (40.1%) and Perlis (35.1%).
The committee said a total of 497,352 doses were administered yesterday, involving 227,506 first dose recipients and 269,846 who received the second dose.
