PETALING JAYA: A total of 65.1% or 15,241,655 of the adult population have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of yesterday, said the Covid-19 vaccine supply access guarantee special committee (JKJAV).
In an infographic on Twitter, the committee said 85.1% or 19,932,137 individuals have also received their first dose.
Meanwhile, 61% and 46.7% of the country’s population have received one dose and two doses of the vaccine, respectively.
A total of 398,134 doses were administered yesterday, of which 188,780 were first doses and 209,354 were second doses.
This brings the cumulative number of vaccinations administered through the national Covid-19 immunisation programme (PICK) to 35,150,474 doses.
Labuan continued to record the highest vaccination rate with 94.5% of the adult population having completed two doses.
This was followed by the Klang Valley with 93.3%, Sarawak (87.2%) and Negeri Sembilan (79.9%).
The states with the lowest vaccination rates among the adult population were Sabah (40.8%), Kelantan (46.7%) and Kedah (47.1%).
