KUALA LUMPUR (23 November 2021): RAWANG Badminton Club (RBC) received a huge boost ahead of the Purple League Junior (PLJ) and Purple League Pro-Am (PL Pro-Am) campaigns with the backing of Malaysia’s leading sports media and public relations agency, ShekhinahPR Sdn Bhd.

ShekhinahPR have solidified their support towards the badminton club for the fourth consecutive year, with a total contribution of RM35,000, including RM10,000 this year.

The sponsorship was announced at a cheque presentation and jersey launch ceremony at the Royal Lake Club, in Kuala Lumpur today. Also present were Purple League’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr, Ho Khek Mong, Rawang BC’s team manager Jeyaseelan Anthony, and Rawang BC’s jersey sponsor for this year, PROTECH.

Chief Executive Officer of ShekhinahPR, Christopher Raj said, “We have been following Rawang BC closely for some time now and I am pleased to see their progress, not only on court but also off the court, and this was key in our decision to support Rawang BC for the fourth consecutive year”.

He added “As members of the community, it is important that we play our part to help them in any way we can”.

RBC team manager Jeyaseelan expressed his gratitude towards Shekhinah PR for their continuous support of the club.

“I can’t begin to describe how important this sponsorship has been for the club. We are fortunate to have the support of ShekhinahPR. On behalf of the club, I would like to thank them for their generosity and for believing in the direction of our club”.

RBC will compete in the Purple League Junior and also for the first time in the PL Pro-Am. As this is the first time Rawang BC will be competing in the PL Pro-Am, Jeyaseelan is convinced that his players will be fighting all-out to prove their capabilities.
