KUALA LUMPUR (24 JUNE 2022): Following the success in organizing the 2021/2022 AEON Credit Purple League Junior in February, Malaysia Purple League is now back with Biz Link Properties Purple League Corporate 2021/2022, another prestigious competition which targets participation from corporate companies and government agencies.

The second edition of this competition is scheduled to be held for two consecutive weekends in a round robin format from the 6th – 14th August while the final round will take place on the 20th and 21st August at Biz Link One Badminton Academy, Kepong.

Malaysia Purple League’s Chief Operating Officer, Ho Khek Mong, is determined to provide a sporting platform for any company or agency that is always active and passionate in playing badminton as a recreational sport after their working hours.

Ho Khek Mong also emphasized on Purple League Corporate’s role in cultivating and securing players to uplift their professional career aside from badminton. He said, “With the inception of the Purple League Corporate tournament, we are glad to witness many private companies moulding and supporting badminton players to prevail in their professional careers as well. For an instance, established corporates like Oppo/LG, Dr Ko and Top Glove supporting our current and former local badminton athletes Lee Zii Jia, Jerry Soo Teck Chi and Soniia Cheah shows their compassion and interest in badminton.

As Malaysia has entered the endemic phase, I have also noticed a rapid rise in the commercial court bookings throughout the nation as the public, especially corporate employees have realized the importance of practicing a good lifestyle with an aim to build a strong immune system via sports. On top of that, statistics also indicates that badminton has now become the number one recreational sport for corporate and government agency employees after their working hours”.

He added “I’m also overwhelmed to witness many prestigious corporates such as Top Glove , Senheng and Genting showing their commitment to compete in the upcoming Biz Link Properties Purple League Corporate 2021/2022 and I also believe that this competition will be a platform for corporate companies and government agencies to experience themselves the atmosphere of sporting action as well as a platform for them to broaden their business opportunity.”
