10 TEAMS SET TO RUMBLE IN THE BIZ LINK PROPERTIES PURPLE LEAGUE CORPORATE 2021/2022

Malaysia Purple League’s Chief Operating Officer, Ho Khek Mong, emphasized on Purple League Corporate’s role in cultivating and securing players to uplift their professional career aside from badminton.

KUALA LUMPUR (29 JULY 2022): Following the success in organizing the 2021/2022 AEON Credit Purple League Junior in February, Malaysia Purple League is now back with Biz Link Properties Purple League Corporate 2021/2022, another prestigious competition which targets participation from corporate companies and government agencies.

Ten aspiring teams are set to take the centre stage as Malaysia Purple League vowed to provide a platform for corporate companies and government agencies to experience themselves a sporting atmosphere while broadening their business opportunities.

Malaysia Purple League’s Chief Operating Officer, Ho Khek Mong, emphasized on Purple League Corporate’s role in cultivating and securing players to uplift their professional career aside from badminton. He said, “With the inception of the Purple League Corporate tournament, we are glad to witness many private companies moulding and supporting badminton players to prevail in their professional careers as well.”

Khek Mong also encouraged all the participating teams to pit their strength in search of glory in this tournament while iterating on Malaysia Purple League’s role in always endorsing the Malaysian public to uplift a good and healthy lifestyle via sports.

Being one of the top 10 teams that will be competing in this year’s edition, Senheng’s team manager Karena Wong said her team are all fired-up to clinch the Biz Link Properties Purple League Corporate 2021/2022 title. “Our team has been training vigorously for the past two months for this tournament. And with the support of our talented players, we are determined to bring home this prestigious Purple League Corporate title.”

Newcomers Dr.KO have also sounded an early warning of their aspirations to go far in this tournament. An upbeat team manager Soo Teck Zhi who is well known across the nation for bursting on the scene with a gold winning performance in the 2013 Asian Junior Championships, said his charges are not here to make up the numbers. “We are capable of pulling a surprise in this tournament. I believe with the strength of our talents; we can progress to the greater heights.”

Dr.KO, a well-known corporate in the “health care industry” will face Top Glove Badminton Club , Red Phoenix , Aeon Credit Service Berhad and Perbadanan Putrajaya in Group A while “electrical retailing” giants Senheng will fancy their chances against American International Group, Genting Malaysia, China Press and Oriental Real Estate in Group B.

The top 3 teams from each group will then proceed to play in the grand finale.

The second edition of this competition is scheduled to be held for two consecutive weekends in a round robin format from the 6th – 14th August while the final round will take place on the 20th and 21st August at Setapak Badminton Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
