KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30: The KL Rising Stars Under-12 hockey team is roaring to make an impact in the upcoming Selangor League 2019 tournament, which will begin this weekend.
“KL Rising Stars comprise aspiring young talents from various schools in KL. They are products of the KL Hockey Association’s Development Program (KLHDP), which have nurtured and developed these budding talents in hockey successfully. The TNB – QNet Selangor League 2019 will be the best platform for the boys to display the fruits of their hard work,” said Deputy President of KLHA, Mr Vikneswaran, after receiving jersey sponsorship by Shekhinah PR, and co-sponsored by Flexoil Malaysia.
Mr Matthew Victor, the Public Relations Manager of Shekhinah PR, who represented the company’s Chief Executive Officer Mr Christopher Raj to unveil the team’s official jersey said their company is pleased to support sports development in the country.
Meanwhile, the coach of KL Rising Stars, Gunaseelan Rajoo, thanked the sponsors, as well the parents on behalf of the team management for their unwavering support and commitment in motivating these young talents to excel in the sport.
“This is not the only tournament for the boys, as there will be more local and international U12 tournaments which we plan to participate in. We aspire to produce world class national players through our continuous development programmes,” said Gunaseelan with full confidence.
The KL Rising Stars request hockey enthusiasts from Klang Valley to attend and support the team in the league matches which will take place as below:

•17th Nov @ 7.00pm (MPK) – Dato Harun
•30th Nov @ 8.00am (KPM) – Taman Gembira
•14th Dec (KPM) – Semis
•15th Dec (KPM) – Finals
