BIZ LINK PROPERTIES PURPLE LEAGUE CORPORATE 2021/2022: ORIENTAL REAL ESTATE READY TO CONQUER THEIR FOES

On route to heading Group B, Oriental Real Estate automatically qualified to the semi-finals by managing to notch 336 points (games won)

KUALA LUMPUR (17 AUGUST 2022): The second edition of the Biz Link Properties Purple League Corporate 2021/2022 held at the Setapak Badminton Centre last weekend delivered on all fronts as fans were treated to a spectacular “badmintainment” experience.

Not many would have expected that a group of corporate bigwigs and social players could mix it up with former national and state players, but the proof was there for all to see last weekend as Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) putting rank and status aside, played side by side with their subordinates in search of glory for their respective organisations.

Brought to the public by the team who introduced the Purple League PRO AM and Purple League Junior, this event aims to promote a healthier lifestyle and also act as a platform for the corporate firms to indulge in a healthy dose of competitive badminton.

One of the teams that stood out at the end of the first two weeks of competition and currently secured its place to the semis is team Oriental Real Estate from Group B. Established in 1988, the Oriental Real Estate company is one of the “leading giants” in the real estate industry and has also been deemed as the largest home-grown real estate agency in Malaysia for the past thirty-two years.

On route to heading Group B, Oriental Real Estate automatically qualified to the semi-finals by managing to notch 336 points (games won) with their tournament highlight being a back-to-back victory over fellow Group B heavyweights, Senheng (12-7) and Genting Malaysia (15-0).

With the prospect of progressing to the grand finals scheduled for this Sunday evening, Oriental Real Estate’s team manager Nurshaliza Atika is happy with the performance of her players and remains hopeful they can keep the winning momentum going. “It was a great weekend for us in the first two weeks of the Biz Link Properties Purple League Corporate.

In spite being a debutant team in this tournament, we managed to do better than we expected by securing multiple victories over our experienced opponents. On top of that, we trained vigorously for the past two months to achieve this feat and I hope we can keep our winning ways going for our crucial match this Saturday and perhaps secure a spot in the final” she said.

Nurshaliza Atika further iterated that the Biz Link Purple League Corporate tournament deserves more recognition due to its role in advocating corporates to practice a healthy lifestyle.

“Malaysia Purple League is doing a phenomenal job in advocating and moulding a healthy lifestyle in this nation. I personally feel that this tournament deserves more recognition since it ignites the spirit of every corporate employee to participate and showcase their skills. I would also like to take this moment to appreciate MPL for organizing such a grand scale tournament in order for us to compete,” added Nurshaliza

In Group A, Top Glove Badminton Club dominated by collecting 170 points and looks ready to contend for their finals spot which is scheduled to take place this Sunday.

The Biz Link Properties Purple League Corporate continues this weekend at Sports Arena Sentosa where the last knockout stages (quarterfinals and semi-finals) will be played on Saturday prior to the final and 3rd & 4th placing on Sunday.
